The Postgraduate Diploma in Sports Medicine (PGDipSportMed) is aimed at those general practitioners who wish to increase their expertise in treating athletes in their practice. In addition it can be a launching pad for further specialisation in sports medicine which, with a rapidly increasing leisure industry, is increasingly in demand. The programme is multidisciplinary and divided into three courses: sports injuries, sports medicine, and practical clinical skills. Lecturers are chosen for their expertise in their field and for their knowledge of treating sports people.
